The Umbrella Association is responsible for everything which is not a house, townhome, duplex, or condo. By example: Roads, grass, trees, security, tennis courts, etc. In other words, the common grounds. The HUA is governed by a 9-member board elected by and from unit owners. Various volunteer committees meet to help guide or give counsel to the Board.
The Umbrella Association is made up of four departments: Administration Office, Security, Maintenance, and Landscaping.
Administration / Office: Currently the Admin office houses the Community Manager, the Accountant, and 2 staff. Linda is the go-to staff person for almost anything. Assessments are paid at this office as well. 5864 Manchester Drive – (847) 816-9300 (store that number in your phone).
HeatherRidge has a private security force which is on-site 24/7. All members are trained 1st responders. They provide a variety of service besides security including issuing parking stickers. 5801 Manchester Drive (under the water tower) - (847) 362-3255 (store that number in your phone).
NOTE: IF YOU ARE HAVING AN EMERGENCY, CALL 911.
This small but mighty team ensures the pools are open on time and operating throughout the summer. They also fix street lights, fences, and more.
Landscaping: HeatherRidge uses the same landscaping crew all year long. In the Summer they cut the grass, trim trees. In the Fall they rake leaves. In the Winter they plow the roads and shovel where required. HeatherRidge is beautiful thanks to this department.
There are 12 committees which meet to provide guidance to the HUA Board. Some are more active than others. All members are volunteers. They serve a very important role in the governance of HeatherRidge. All committee members contribute to the annual budgeting process.

This is a very active and very important committee. They review all bills plus review the monthly receivables, payables and delinquencies. They are also the first step in the annual budgeting process. They currently meet with the TLLCISI Committee.
TLLCISI: Tax, Law, Legislation, Contracts, Insurance, and Special Interest. The title alone tells you that this is a very important (and active) committee as they review all major purchases to ensure purchasing policy is being followed. They also make purchase recommendations to the board. They do a lot of reading and work hand-in-hand with the Finance Committee.
Every year, 3 seats on the HUA Board are up for election. This committee helps to find people that might want to serve.
Possibly the two largest (or at least most recognizable) amenities in HeatherRidge are golf and tennis. This committee works to optimize both.
